I just handed in my first ever paper!
It was just 2 pages paper, but still!
I'm proud of my self, I even study 300 pages for my midterm, I would never thought i would ever do such a thing like this! and I did good on midterm too, although it was easy!

The proff is strange! the other time when i was asking him question, i mention that it was my first time i'm doing a paper, and he just gave me extention, which i didn't even ask or expect!!!! that was first shocked, and today i went to handed in my paper, while i missed the clas, and he told me : u missed the class today. I was so shocked that he payed attention, cuz there r around 100 ppl in the class, and i'm not one of those student who always ask questions.

I'll put a link to my paper here, and i recomend that u take a look at it. there are some nice and worth reading point in them. e.g. What Aristotle thinks is the purpose of life?
The difference between happiness and pleasure.

Aristotle believes that highest good should be self sufficiency and achieved because of its own sake not because we are wishing for other things, and there should be no limits on achieving it, so it can always fulfill the soul and should aim to good end. He believes that
Function “Ergon” of human is virtue “arête” and the best good is happiness or the activity of soul in accordance to virtue. Thus, happiness cannot be achieving through fortune or by nature but one must go through learning and attention. Virtue is the controlling elements of happiness, so even if a happy person goes through misfortunes with goods and temper he would never be viscous. He might does an injust act, but not as a state of his character.
Virtue is a state that makes a decision, and a mean relative to us, the intermediate state between excess and deficiency. Virtue is concerns with pleasure and pain, feeling and actions. To be virtuous doesn’t mean to be unaffected by pleasure and pain, But its taking the appropriate action which would be a mean relative to us. To enjoy pleasure there would be no need of reasoning, and experiment, pleasure depends on both internal and external situations, which are why animals and children can enjoy pleasure but not happiness.

Our soul has two parts: Rational and non rational. The non rational part is divided in two parts one that concerns with nutrition and growth, and it shares among other livings, so its virtue is not specific for human beings. In addition, the other part is non rational but in a way it shares with reasons, which consists of appetite and desire. Rational part is concern with reasoning and decision making, and that belongs only to human, virtue is also consists of two parts: virtue of character and virtue of thought, Virtue of character “Ethos” is results from habits like generosity, and virtue of thoughts is results of experience and time, like wisdom. Therefore, nobody is virtuous by nature but by nature, one is capable to become virtuous.

The science of highest good is political science cause it’s the ruling science, and through political science become clear that how much of other sciences and in what way should
They are studies in cities. Political science is the science of actions and it concerns about what must be done and what must be avoided. Three gratification of best life are: Gratification: pleasure, Action: honour or virtue, and Study. This shows that there is no single and universal idea about good.

In voluntary action, origin of action is in the agent and agent knows the reason he is doing it and he has choice of not doing it. However, if an action involves force or ignorance the action would be involuntary. Although if a person chose to have some sort of ignorance e.g. not knowing the law while he must know, then he will be responsible for being ignorant. Nevertheless, if the action is done because of ignorance and the agent regret his action, then it seems to be unwillingly and involuntary.

Decision is a voluntary action and is not shared with non rational part of soul. That is the main different between decision and wish and appetite. In addition, decision is not wish because one wish for some thing impossible, while one decide to do some thing, which promotes and end. In addition, decision is not the same as believes caused one might have correct believes but make wrong decision because of vice. Virtue and vice are promoting the ends and they require decision making so they are voluntary.

A brave person is full of emotions and he make a decision to act toward what is fine, He stands firm against what is painful for what is justly praised. A hopeful person is not brave since their many victories make them confidence and they feel they are strongest.
Bravery is concerned with fear of death, but the brave person will not be concern with death from sickness or on the sea. Bravery is the mean between cowardly and rushes.

For being friendly, one does not require having special feeling toward the other persons and that is why one can be friendly while not having a complete friendship. A friendly person has to treat others in the right way still treating his friends in better way compare to those he doesn’t know and be willing to share pleasure and avoid causing pain for his friends as long as it aims toward virtue. Thus the person who wants to be pleasant for no purpose or any reason but not virtue, would be consider as extreme.

Generosity is a state that aims at what is fine and it is about giving correctly to the right people at the right amount for the right reasons at the right time. The generous person won’t take wealth from wrong sources and he is not generous just to get some thing in return. Being generous does not depend on how much one gives out but on how much of what he has, is giving. The generous person honours wealth for the sake of giving it out not for himself. Generosity is a mean between giving and taking.

Justice is the only virtue that is another person’s good and its complete ratio with respect to others. There are two kinds of justice distributive justice and Rectification justice. Distributive justices are concerns with honour and wealth and every thing that can be divided between members of community who shares in political system. Distributive justice is about equality of ratio and geometrical proportionality it means that: equal people should receive equal shares.
Rectification justice has two parts: voluntary e.g. selling and involuntary e.g. poisoning. Rectification justice is consists of numerical proportions. This is about treating people involved as equal.

Just is an intermediate between doing injust and suffering an injust act. What is unjust is unjust by nature. Injustice is about harming with the knowledge of victim and instrument and the way to do the harm, and it should be against the wish of victim. Doing a just/ injust act should be by process of diction making and should be voluntary. However, it is not possible to suffer injustice willingly; even the continent person does not wish to suffer
injustice willingly, but he acts against his wish. The difference in doing the injust act and being unjust person, is not about the type of action that they done but their feeling and decision making. So if one do a vice act because of appetite, his act would be injust, but he is not unjust person compare to one who makes a decision to do the vice act and also makes profit out of it.
